Small question.

I do mean it when I said small question.

Okay well I went to my local shop and the dude took a look at the jack since it was unscrewed and I couldnt put it back on. He screwed the back on. But I noticed theres a screw that just turns in nothing. I'm not feeling like taking off all the screws but it seems like he split the wood or something when he put the screw back on. What should I do about that? I dont want to lose the screw or anything.

if the hole's been threaded out you can probably fill it with putty & redrill a better hole for the screw. You wouldn't even be able to tell if it was under the jack plate. If there are other screws holding it in there well enough I probably wouldnt even bother, unless the jack would fall out again. Hardly proffessional advice, but that's what my common sense would tell me to do!

I wasnt clear enoug sorry. It's because the jack hole on my SG was lose, but I turned it the wrong way. So the jack was stuck inside. I was scared of breaking something or .. something. So I went to my local shop, the dude takes the back peice off holds on to the jack while pushing it and screwed the little bolt thingy to the jack. Put the screws back in place and yea.

Thing thats annoying me is the fact that that screw probably split the wood it was screwed to. But yea, I guess I'll try that putty thingy .. or maybe some kind of wood fill would do. I'll ask the woodworking teacher at school tommorow. Haha!

stick some toothpicks in the hole and re-screw your screw.
