Just wondering how Marshalls compare in the opinion of those who've experienced it. Yeah, we know they're made for dirt, but I was curious.
So how do we feel about clean marshalls?

+1 agreed. i was very impressed with the jvm cleans. i honestly haven't heard a marshall sound that great clean before, and i thought SRV had awesome tone. the jvm cleans blow me away

JTM45s are supposed to have a killer clean sound.

marshals have always been able to produce "clean" It,s a matter of how you set your pre invol and Master Vol.:kabong:

Nothing special, but i use it so few times that i can sacrifice that for the great dirty tones. At some point i'd love to get my 800 modded to have a much better clean channel, but that can wait a few years.

I was watching a DVD of one of my band's show (just before we broke up actually) and between songs I was hearing some clean noodling... turned out it was me, on the clean channel of my 800 with the neck pick-up (pearly gates)... I couldn't believe how good it sounded... really.
