So, I finally made my pickup switcher pedal...

And, I must say, it works nicely. I messed with the electronics in my guitar so that when a push-pull is pulled, the pickup switching is handled by the pedal, and when it's down, the guitar's pickup switch is used. I also stumbled upon something... I now have the ability to assign effects to a specific pickup. I.E. I can have the neck pup with delay and the bridge with phaser at the same time. It's pretty neat. Has this kind of thing been made before?

A PRS CE 22, but it can be done on a bunch of different guitars...

I was actually thinking about building a similar pedal a few years ago. Just never got around to it.

I´d do whatever it takes to refine this idea and market it, this seems to be something new, and VERY cool

Can you imagine, playing the same riff, bridge pickup ultracrunchy and clear, and on the neck pickup clean + loaded w/ reverb and effects , dark and doomy... :saeek: :headbang:

I think Vigier already do it... I remember reading about it in a guitar mag ages ago about the idea being about. I don't know if they went into production though

I've seen a few rigs where the signal from the pickups is sent to a midi switcher in the rack, so that pickups can be assigned to midi programs.
