I have the pink one and it has the desired effect live.

I put black Sperzels and a black bridge on mine with a Distortion (no logo) and a CTS pot and a Jenson paper-in-oil cap. (I think the parts are worth more than the axe)

When I use "Carly" locally....they just know...but whenever I play a new place I get the funny looks like "who the F#^k is THIS GUY." Then, of course, ya start playing and it's like "Ooooooooooooooooooh!!!!!" And THEN they get the joke.

I'm pretty sure you can pull off a Hello Kitty. You definitely can't suck and play a Hello Kitty.

That's kinda my point, if the Hello Kitty guitar was only $50 then I'd say definitely go for it but for $200 I'm sure you could find a much better "starting point guitar"? The better the raw materials that you start with the better the end result? Just one man opinion though...

A bit late, but I'll echo the "you just don't get it" sentiment. I say go for it. Like Lucy Diamond, I'd switch out the hardware and pop in a spare humbucker. Rock it dude.

So many possibilities….. Actually, the tuners seem to be pretty nice. That might change with use. We'll see.
