I'm not sure if it's guitar and bass amps or just bass, considering that Mark Bass is going to be making them, but straight from Sterling Ball's computer, it's happening.
^ Johnny Winter used the 4x10 MM amps for a long time. I always considered his sound very 'hi-fi', if not sterile.
OTOH, it'd probably be a great amp for the Pedal Pushers.
Good question... Markbass is located in Chieti, Italy. The original MM amps were built in California. A google didn't turn up anything.Where will they make them?
the Markbass website said:In the late 90s, Marco entered a partnership with Ernie Ball and created a brand called Audiophile. During that period Marco pioneered the use of neodymium speakers for bass enclosures. After a couple of years Marco decided to found his own company, and Markbass was born.
I had 2 65's a 210 and a 112 both ran 6CA7's and both had the tube PI so they were not fully SS in the front end. The later version was all SS on the front with out the tube PI and IMO they lost some of the warmth of the earlier ones.I thought they were 6l6 power tubes which are pretty linear.
I love the design. Ss frontend is fine.

The only clean amp that I would rate better than the tube PI version of the MM 130 was the Zinky designed fender Vibro King!
Mine both used EL34 tubes. No tubes in the preamp - transistors instead.
I didn't hear them as being Hi-Fi so much as somewhat flat.
Not exactly "lifeless" but not exactly "full of life" either.
Really, they just have the sound of a 1970's transistor based guitar preamp through a EL34 tube power amp.
I would have never expected you to say that...
Well, that's interesting. I didn't know those were mean ol' EL34ish powered. Thanks for the info!
Could be cool but with the prices for the old ones still very much in reach I personally see no point plus I have ZERO in giving EB/MM any of my money.
