Today I asked it some questions about a variety of pickups. we wandered into a discussion where it brought up Gibson 57 Classics. I asked how they compared to my Pearly Gates wound to 9k.
While I could have kept the 57/57+ in Irish, my Green Les Paul....this nailed all the reasons I wanted the PG's and enjoy them in comparison.
Mid-7k → low-8k winds.
Clear, vintage, well-behaved.

It’s:“Kick the door open, steal the whiskey, and ask questions later.”

- A5 with attitude
- More coil offset
- More harmonic content
- More grind
- More sizzle
- Less polite compression
- A way better mid character
