Re: So Who's Played Through A Marshall JVM410H?
I spent an hour in Sam Ash using one with a LP and 62 Hot Rod strat, and I give that amp the thumbs up. I was pleasantly surprised, and figured it out pretty quickly. Even though it's 100W, it doesn't seem like an overly loud Marshall, like some. It compresses nicely at a decent volume, so it makes it really useable. You can dial it more metal or more classic.
The mandatory purchase you must make if you buy one is to get a 1960AV with four Vin 30's. That type of Marshall amp really jives perfectly with them.
I haven't even checked what's in the matching cab there.
Don't worry about needing pedals, the amp is a metal monster....it has plenty of gain on tap. The only thing you'll want to do is turn the reverbs almost completely down....they're really dramatic when turned up at all.....instant surf.
