Yeah, they've totally nailed tube feel/response/tone with the Stonehead. I've played a lot of SS stuff over the years but never had that happen before. There's definitely some big enhancement of the technology going on..

The distinction is important when you are claiming great advances in solid state technology which is untrue the advances are in digital solid state has remained the same for years

The thread is "Solid State Amps Suck...". Analog IS solid state, period. Definition: Solid-state- "used to refer to an ​electronic ​device in which the ​flow of ​electrical ​current is through ​solid ​material and not through a vacuum (= ​space without ​air)."

Advancements in tone/sound include both subsets regardless if one has progressed more than the other. My statement regarding the improvement of SS is true, regardless of your mindset. I'm done discussing your tangent. If you want to discuss/compare digital vs analog, why don't you initiate a thread on that topic rather than perpetuating the incorrect connotation that seems to have been in your mind that solid state=digital (go back and re-read your posts)?
