Some Live Les Paul lovin...

Here are some vids from a recent show. Would love to hear what you guys think. Clip one is my Les Paul Classic with a set of 59s. The second clip is my new Les Paul 60s Tribute with stock P90s.

Sounds like Stone Temple Pilots with a little Red Hot Chili Peppers thrown in. Which is a compliment. I love me some grunge.

The recording is way too shtty to tell anything about the guitar sound, sorry.

EDIT: That was based on the second clip. 1st one is marginally better, but still an awful lot of clipping out the mic.

Maybe tips and clips would be the better place to post. People who frequent there are the kind of people who these clips basically target.

Other than that, quality isn't good enough to judge. But it doesn't sound bad.

Agree about the poor quality recordings, but I'd have to say that I like the 60s Tribute (P-90s) better.

The worst thing that bugged me was the guy in the middle staring into the camera the whole time.

Well, I've heard the STP reference several times in our band's five year history, but never been compared to the Chilli Peppers. Yeah, the audio quality isn't the greatest. I wanted to take a direct feed off of the soundboard, but the "sound engineer" wouldn't allow it.

Doc: yeah, the P90s do sounds really good. Keep in mind that by the time I used that guitar in the set, the sound guy had the mix a bit better. The 59s actually sound fatter than the P90s in person. I love both though. The videos are up mostly for fun.

It was the singing on the second song that made me think of the Chilis.
