Don't know much about Yamaha's products but these look pretty sweet.
I have major GAS with all this new stuff at NAMM coming out. :32:

btw, played an SZ520 today and i must say i was pleasantly suprised. not the neck i'd expect on an ibanez.

because they sold like hotcakes and were INCREDIBLY popular. Even Dean has a new line that look just like them also.

Basically everyone's taking their long term strat-meets-soloist shape and adding a 'carved' top to them.

Unfortunaly these new ones aren't quite the traditional RGX's that I'm used to

Anyway, the red one looks pretty sweet...effin' NAMM and it's gooey guitar goodness..

Yep, the C1 series was out for a while before Ibanez released the SZs.

well.. they all look similar, but do they play similar? coe the SZ has one effin thick neck.. felt weird in my hand

I REALLY like that neck, it feels like the one on the entry level satriani models, it's more like a strat neck, very nice indeed.
