some question on the peavey classic 50/50

does the peavey classic 50/50 has an effects loop?

i dont get the 4 inputs.. can you have "4 mono inputs" or "2 stereo outputs"?

is this amp only good when cranked and not ideal for bedroom practice since it's a 50 + 50 watts tube amp?

or are these amps still sound good in low volumes?

thanks!

Re: some question on the peavey classic 50/50

They are LOUD. You need to run some kind of preamp infront of them for tone shaping.

Guitar->Preamp->Pedals that you would normally put in the loop->Poweramp->Cab

I use to have one, it was nice but simply way too much power.

Re: some question on the peavey classic 50/50

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you go to the SUPPORT area of Peavey.com and download the Owner Manual in PDF format for the Classic 50/50 power amp. I will answer many of your questions about the operation of this amp.

This is a pro quality amp, not suited for bedroom use.

It does not have an effects loop--in a rack mounted power amp, the effects processor is placed in between the preamp and the power amp. Some preamp units do have loops.

The unit features two parallel input jacks on each channel. The most common usage would be to use one jack as an input jack and "jumper" from the second jack to another power amp.

Re: some question on the peavey classic 50/50

definitly loud, yes. since you are going to be using in your bedroom a lot, you probably may want to consider downsizing to the lower wattage peavey classics. i remember there being a 20 watt in that line, but they may have discontinued it. it'd definitely be a good choice for wat ur situation is, you could probably find one on ebay...:)
