SOT: Trimpots

Does anyone know how to decode the markings on a trimpot?

I have 2 that I am looking at. One reads 104 5E, the other reads 104 6B (or it may be 68)

I have so far determined that the 104 designates 100K. Does anyone know what the 5E and 6B mean?

I am intersted in removing the trimmers and replacing with functionally-equivalent regular pots.

Thanks

You're right about the value. The first two numbers are the "significant" numbers; the third number is the number of zeros you add. So 104 is 100K or 100,000 ohms. Don't worry about the 6B or 68. It's probably the footprint of the part, or some other minor physical parameter. All trimpots are linear, so just go with a 100K linear pot.
