...And I love every bit of it. Especially this "sparkle burst".

It is so obnoxious that it is utterly amazing.

But here are the rest :D

I would take any of these guitars in a heartbeat. I wish Gibson would offer guitars like this more often. I do love me some sparkle finish. In fact, it's my favorite. I want my guitars to shimmer like a bass boat.

And please, feel free to post pics of more sparkly guitars :D

Still love this thing. I need to shoot some daytime pictures.

Re: Sparkly goodness...

How very Paul Stanley of you.

That just might be the one thing he got right.

I can honestly say that if I were a millionaire 95% of my collection would be finished in metal flake. And I also probably would have bought all those guitars I listed.

I just wish they'd branch out and do other colors more often. While silver looks cool in flake, so do plenty of other colors.

Still love this thing.

See, I'm not really even a fan of Fenders and I love that thing!

Even purple looks bad ass in flake!

Re: Sparkly goodness...

I don't know why I never saved off some pictures of it, but Butnut painted a tele with red and orange flake for Wattage, and it's one of my all-time favorite guitars. The thing was just sick. Surely you've been around long enough to recall that one.

I tend to prefer bright colors with metal flake. I'm not huge on the silver toned metal flakes like those Gibsons, but they are still cool. The blue LP is pretty badass, though. Obnoxious flake is quality stuff, if I could justify the $$ spent on the right equipment to shoot it I'd probably go for it.

Re: Sparkly goodness...

Either way, that was a typo, so I'm just going to assume you meant "awesome".

The Purple Jag has personality. It grows on you( kind of like a fungus). But those other ones.. ughhh, I have my doubts.

I remember that, it was the tits.

I vaguely remember it. I could pick it out of a lineup, but couldn't draw it for you.

But I'd love to see some pics of it if anyone has some.

And I'd love to see/own a Les Paul in the same color as XSSIVE's copper-ish Les Paul, but with a much heavier flake. That and the Stars and Stripes Paul in flake. What is it with Gibbo's looking like a million bucks in bass boat sparkle?

And while not a heavy flake, this one is also a notable mention:

Re: Sparkly goodness...

This is super ultra fantastic-amundo. I wish there were one of these in midnight blue.

I just wish there were more of those around, period. Those things are super hard to find for sale. And when you do find one, expect to pony up some bucks.

What are you, one of the Jonas Brothers or something?

Hahahaha. Fair enough. I'd like to think that I rock ever so marginally harder than those Nickelodeon rats, however, if playing a sparkly guitar guarantees I get to play to crowds as big as they do and get as much air time as them, sign me up!

Re: Sparkly goodness...

my dad owned a 2001 standard like that silver sparkle one. I actually loved the weight and feel of that paul...I even got used the stock buckers.

but i felt like I should be playing guitar for Liberace...
