Speaking of cables...

Anyone else just use the Livewire stuff at Guitar Center? Back before I knew about all the different brands of cables, I bought a lot of these (none longer than 20') because of the lifetime warranty and mid-level price:

I also kinda liked the blue at the ends :lol:

Then I bought 4 or 5 20' lengths of Monster Cable 100 series:

Again, not the cheapest stuff I could find, but I thought it was decent. In the real world, does anyone think that I will hear an appreciable difference in my sound by using a more expensive cable?

BTW... I just noticed that most of my Livewire cables have Neutrik connectors on them. Seems like they should be quality...

So, what's the general consensus on these cables?

I'm currently using Live Wires for speaker cables. They don't see much abuse and they're fairly new so its not really fair to comment on them other than they're working just fine so far. No problems. No added noise that I can tell.

For guitar cable I always buy Spectraflex cables. "Always buy" is kinda misleading - I bought a few cables from them years ago and never had to buy anything else. If a Spectraflex cable were to quit on me today, I'd be very suprised. Then, I'd go out and buy another one.
