Spider III

Re: Spider III

Those clips are horrid. The songs are played wrong for obvious reasons.....copyright. But the tone is just aweful. I'm so glad my ears knew enough to avoid those things when I was amp hunting this past summer.

This is a perfect example of taking the market by storm and then getting lax with the products because of the stamp that was made. Too bad too because others are starting to pass them.

Re: Spider III

Now wait a minute...what's the problem with being a poser? I'm a total poser. That's what really drew me towards modeling amps. Admittedly, I prefer Roland for my posing, but really now: If I weren't a poser in some sense would I be spending my time here. And even if I weren't here, I'd be in some KISS tribute band. That's like meta-posing. I'm a poser and proud of it! And nothing, but nothing, really helps my own level of self-delusion than really dialing that sound, chops be damned!!!! And I've got a job and everything. I guess they don't want me buying their amp. Fine. I'm just saying I'm a poser of the highest order and nothing appeals to me more than presets indexed by artist/album/song. I'm going out and buy a digitech poser-stomp right now!

Dude, line6's own clips have always blown chunks. I've heard AMAZING things done with a PODxt - but listen to the clips on the site.

One of the gal's I work with is married to an engineer at L6 - I'll have to pick his brain about this one.
