Re: SPLAWN GUITARS?
Whats wrong with you dancing panda?
Nothing. I feel the love in your custom geet-boxes.Plus, you are perfecting them, they are getting better each one .
The Warmoth parts guitars, well, they are great guitars, even the lower level ones that are probably on par with a MIM sStrat can sound and play great and the real bonus is when you get great pickups in them.. I own a few, that I love, but to be real honest, I feel a Warmoth is actually LESS than the sum of its parts.Just my own opinion.
A Premium hand built Splawn, IMO is worth it if you can afford it. For one, the entire instrument is handcrafted to fit together like the proverbial glove. Thats why I laugh ( HA HA) at idiots trying to piecemeal from vintage parts an original 50's-60's Strat - they aren't made for each other and you are better off with a Shure, Anderson or whatever,THATs the magic of an old Strat or Tele, is they were fitted, and fit together by old school masters , like a fine old Stradivarius, and you just cannot buy old parts and reassemble them and half a hope in heck of getting the old Strat/eTle magic, no. .
I don't dance too much anymore, but thanks for asking.Your work is still a lil rough around the edges to compare it to a premium Shure/ Anderson /Splawn guitarIMO. I feel you could be on the level of the very best, but i do not think you want to do that, you would have to apprentice. You do great work great skills, trust me, I do not question that.I think though, if you really wanted to go all the way, you might try to study under someone like the Australian builder who constructs immaculate and perfect builds-shame on me, I forgot his name..
