Re: Splitting 2 three wires humbucker with one 2 way toggel switch?
Yup. I figured if you weren't sure of whether the 3rd wire was for splitting or for a separate ground it would be easiest to know by knowing if the current configuration was already splitting... and since it IS, then that 3rd wire is definitely a split wire. [emoji1303]
By the way, sorry it's taken me so long to respond... had a very busy day at work today.
Anyway, to answer your previous question... yes, just run the lead from the pickup to the mini, and then on to the switch. The split wires, however, can stop at the mini. This will make it so that you have the following two setups for your pickup selector:
Mini NOT splitting the coils:
1) Bridge Full
2) Bridge Full + Center
3) Center
4) Neck Full + Center
5) Neck Full
Mini splitting the coils:
1) Bridge Split
2) Bridge Split + Center
3) Center
4) Neck Split + Center
5) Neck Split
If you want 2 and 4 to be ALWAYS split buckers, then go ahead and run the split wire to the mini and on to its current position on the pup selector.
If you're still having trouble, I can try to find time to squeeze out a diagram for you.

When in positions 2 or 4 we get the outer coil of the humbucker with the middle single coil pickup.
Dose that answers your question ?
