Squealing on my Hot Rod Deville

Howdy! I have a Fender Hot Rod Deville 4X10 (made in USA) that is making a weird, high pitched mutant squealing sound whenever I switch to the dirty channel. I have replaced all the preamp tubes (12AX7s). It also has two slots for 6L6s in which I've inserted a pair of Yellow jackets that house a pair of EL84s. I didn't have any problems before I put in the yellow jackets, but maybe this is just coincidence. Maybe not. If anybody has any input, I'd appreciate it! Thanks!

first thing to try is putting the 6l6 back in

True - I need to do that. I did however use the yellow jackets a few times before I had any problems, but I'll switch it back nonetheless...
