Actually, I started this about 14 years ago when I designed it, bot the wood and re-sawed it. In the last two weeks I've fine tuned the design and gotten the wood thickness sanded. The next step is to make the templates, jigs, and fixtures for the neck and body, as well as lam up the body halves. The body is going to be a laminate of Koa, Redwood, Maple, Redwood, Koa. With a Coca Bola stripe running through the length of the body. This will line up with a stripe of the same wood running the length of the neck that will be made of vertical grain maple with 24 frets in it's Coca Bola finger board. Tilt back headstock with a 4 and 2 tuner arrangement. 25.5" scale with a Rose, HB in bridge position and maybe a P-90 in neck position. The neck will be a bolt on. I'm also going to use the Swamp Ash that I got a wile back to make a second one at the same time. Did I mention that I book matched the Koa and it is completely covered in small flame. I am having troubles sleeping, I'm thinking about it so much. It's been far to long!
