Hi John, You asked me to compare the new Stack Plus Noiseless bridge pickup to the Antiquity Texas Hot and to the Twangbanger so I did. However, I don't have the latest version of the Stack Plus in a guitar at the moment...I've been using the original prototypes: flatter poles, warmer tone, the ones Nuno Bettencort is also using in his signature Washburn guitar.
The Twangbanger is still the hottest of the three, followed by the Antiquity Texas Hot Custom bridge pickup and the "Nuno" Stack Plus Noiseless bridge pickup. The Texas Hot and Stack Plus are close...but in my guitars the Texas Hot seemed slightly louder and slightly brighter and more open.
I'll be installing the "Lew" version of the new Stack Plus pickups, the set Duncan will be releasing very soon, in my Hamer Daytona that I purchased just for these pickups, and I'll come back to this thread and post an update.
I've just been so busy with the move and getting my "new" home moved into and set up that I haven't had any time for working on guitars.
But I did take a hour or so and do some playing...
