I wanted to take a moment to appreciate The Stratosphere! I've been dealing with them for years and I have always had great buying experiences with them but recently they did something that was nothing short of amazing!
I bought a Hot Stack Bridge on a Saturday, decided that it wasn't what I wanted on Sunday and then wrote them a email asking if I could return or exchange it. On Monday morning I received a email from them saying I could do either & all I had to do was send it back with a note saying what I wanted to do with it, the item #, exe? No ridiculous restock fees or anything like that but I ended up going with an exchange instead of a refund. Now, I put the pickup in the mail Tuesday evening & they somehow managed to get it, process it, & get the new one to me by Friday @ 9am!
Usually when you have to return a part, pickup or otherwise, it sets your project back a week at the very least! I've had it take over a month to get my replacement pickups before & that was through a major retailer! But it would be fairly safe to assume you could be waiting the better part of two weeks in most cases. This was just awesome though, it was like having the super expensive shipping without having to pay for it & the project I was working on didn't really miss a beat because I didn't really have the time to mess with it until the weekend anyway!
I kind of think of that place as this Modders Shangri-La! When you think about it there's really nothing like it, I mean Warmouth is no joke but they sell great Fender, Gibson, and Charvel parts for a relatively good price & if you're not happy with what you get or you decide a Maple neck would be a better fit for what your doing they make it easy to return or exchange!
