Studio Monitor Headphones

Hello All, First post but I always lurk on this site for advice. My MIM Telecaster has been in a case for over 10 years and I am just getting back into playing. For amp I currently only have irig HD to my ipad but only have crappy pairs of head phones. I don't know if this is the right section for this question but I am looking for a good set of Head Phones under 100 Bucks to use with my set up.

Or any other advice is appreciated, I was thinking about just going with Mustang I or Vox modeling amp.

After all these years of being neglected my tele is still full of tone :)

Re: Studio Monitor Headphones

I looked at several when I needed some decent headphones and these are a few I think are worthwhile.
ATH-M30
Sennheiser HD439
AKG K240

I ended up with the Sennheisers cuz what I had was a Best Buy gift card and they were out of stock or the gift card wouldn't work on the other two.
But this is my 3rd pair of sennheisers in 5 years or so and I am very happy with them. Cord is a little flimsy but the sound is great for the price.

Re: Studio Monitor Headphones

Despite being a Senneheiser user for many years, I like the Shure 440 headphones. They are modular, so you can replace the ear pads when worn and the cord after many times being stepped on or rolled over by the chair. Sound wise they are close enough to the Sennheiser 280s to use for monitoring. If you want cheaper, the Sennheiser 201s go for around $20.
