hey, i just put in my dimarzio super distortion in my prs se standard. i was wondering how close should they be to the strings? is there a specific distance that works best? im waiting for my seymour duncan invader for the neck now, i cant wait to put it in

Use your ears. The box will have suggestions. That is a great pickup.
You are putting an invader in the neck?

yep, its going in the neck. btw, how hot is an invader as compared to a super distortion?

Start close as possiblr and work your way down. That is how I did mine. Also The Super Distortion sounds a bit grainy (at least in my jackson) at lower volumes but sounds really big and wide at higher/gig volumes.

I took it out to try out a custom custom but may end up putting it back in after I try a Duncan Distortion. I don't like the custom custom much a little flabby on the bottom end.

Just use your ears.....whatever height you like the sound at is the height it should be at.
