The GGD stuff is cool as is the Jens Bogren stuff at Bogren Digital. If I am not mistaken, in order to use GGD or any of those other products you would have to purchase Superior Drummer and then add those to it. I could be wrong. This is a new world to me but one I am finally caving into and embarking on the journey down the rabbit hole.
I believe it is the Kontakt player (which is free) that is needed for GGD samples.
I use EZ Drummer and absolutely love it. Not sure if it is better than what you are looking at but I really like it.
I'm looking at drum software too. I hate programming drums, but it seems like the only way to get things done nowadays.
And yes, a Recording/DAW forum would be excellente'!
Is it good for the real heavy style drumming? I am wanting more than Rock type drums only. I will need thrash, death, progressive, etc. Which version are you using?
