Switch broken...AGAIN

So I got a Catalinbread SFT .. Loved it but it kept cutting out when kicking it on so I sent it back and got another, now when I kick it off it cuts out completely...

Seriously considering never getting another CB effect...

My question is are there any good links you guys use or tips for replacing the switch myself or should I just take it into my shop to get fixed.

Anyone else get this problem, I have only had it with these SFTs not even the cheaper pedals I have bought have ever had switch issues

Re: Switch broken...AGAIN

I had a DD3 that had a bad switch when I got it. I bought a switch at radio shack and replaced it but it was touchy that at times I couldn't turn it off so I ordered the correct switch and replaced it correctly. It now works fine after years of use. I have to believe that the switches they are using are faulty. Call them up and have them send you a replacement switch. It shouldn't be too difficult to drop it in

Not to be insensitive, but how much do you weigh? Lololololololololol I'll see myself out.

Re: Switch broken...AGAIN

Have you tried pressing the switch down all the way with your fingers, and then turning it clock and counterclockwise while it is pressed down??
Sometimes these things just needs alittle "massage" in order to work again, unless it is totally effed up!

Re: Switch broken...AGAIN

Probally just a bad batch of those smelly TB switches;)
Get hold of them, they will prolly help you out with no fuzz!
Yeah...I would give them a chance and give them a call. They may turn out to be VERY helpful and concerned. Who knows...until you give it a shot.
Unlike a (most) guitar amps...Pedals CAN be a pain to work on. pull all the knobs, deal with short leads. You could always open it up and take a peek.
good luck
