Re: T-Rex Pedals
They are well built, and a bit pricey for my personal price range. I demo'd the Replica when I was looking for a delay pedal and thought it was great! Super quiet-no click on engage and tap capability.
I went with a DL-4, which I got for a nice deal and I'm impressed with it. I never thought I'd ever be able to tell, but it does maybe suck 5% off the top of the tonal richness when engaged vs. when not. That's one thing that would provoke me to swap it out, but not for awhile.
Didn't experience that with the T-rex.
That said, I'm sure other pedals can do the same as either, and in the end, my purchase philosophy is buy and hold. If I was looking to replace the DL-4, I'd revisit the T-rex, as I know I'd probably keep it for years and years, if I did buy it.
For the pricey boutique stuff, keep an eye out for the used stuff.
FWIW-I know this hearkens back to your famous CM thread, but the Red repeat was a hot little pedal, and would probably be the one I'd buy!
