Talk to me about the Godin Multiac SA

Hello all.

I've been recently toying with the idea of going back to playing more classical and fingerstyle stuff. Looking around my local area, I found a Godin Multiac SA. I own a Godin solid body and this Multiac looks to be very well made, but I was wondering if anyone has experience with how the piezos sound as far as acoustic tonality and how well they work with Roland synths.

Thanks!

I'm also curious about these guitars.

Why would people prefer these guitars rather than regular electric classical guitars or electric crossover classical guitars?

I find I do have to process them a bit to get what I like out of them, but they sound way better than normal nylon stings' piezos. Plus, you get the synth access stuff which is wonderful. If I was in any situation where I thought I might need an amplified nylon, the Godin would be my first choice.

Nice, thanks for the info. I was looking at the Godin because of the neck shape and the fact that it will be more resistant to feedback than other electrified nylon strings I've played.

As far as the synth access, would the nylon strings make it track any better or worse than a strat with a Roland pickup on it?

I never noticed a tracking difference with nylon vs electric. The Multiacs track just as well.
