Tears in heaven by 8 year old

One of my students is shaping up to be an incredible talent on guitar, at only 8 he is already fluently playing difficult barre chord songs and also finger-picking.

I Think this kid is one to look out for in future, there is just something about him. He gets a little nervous on camera so little errors he normally doesn't make creep in a bit. Anyway, check him out and see what you guys think, it's good to give him some exposure for encouragement.

good for him! he does show great promise ... his ability to play sometimes without looking at his hands is a dead giveaway that he is building on a natural talent and developing an ease with the instrument

i would definitely recommend that he better posture as a support to improved technique ... i couldnt tell from the video if his poor posture was a result of his playing a guitar that is too physically big for him or if he was just slouching lazily ... but with a proper sized instrument and good posture, he would likely be able to play with better time as making the left hand transitions wouldnt take as much effort

i hope he keeps with it and has fun
cheers

His posture is perfect, he is just sitting like that in this clip, he normally uses a little footstool.

He can play a full adult sized guitar without muting the strings, and I'm talking both electric and dreadnought acoustic. Seeing him play an adult sized acoustic was mind blowing, the guitar was bigger than him. Obviously this was only done as an experiment because he asked if he could try my guitar out.

The guitar he is using in the clip is a 3/4 one.

Good to hear your comments, feedback is always great to hear.
