Laney LC30 II
Peavey Valveking 112
About the same price. Both are 2 channels amps with 12'' speaker, effects loops, individual channel EQs... and both are rock machines.
Now the differences...
The Peavey actually has more features to be honest. A cool knob that switches between class A and class A/B response, and a tight/loose response switch. The differences are subtle but they are there, and to be honest the amp has a lot of mojo to it. Two 6L6s, 50W, and a perfect platform for mods.
The Laney has better a speaker (Celestion 70 eighty, tubes, and possibly overall quality out of the box. It does sound a little better too. But it's class A, with 4 EL84 tubes. Less mod and tube swap friendly...
With the Peavey I could replace the 6L6s by yellowjackets or equivalent and have a cool 18Watter. Not that there'd be a huge difference with the Laney anyway...
If you guys played either and have any experience, I'd like to hear
Thanks!
Oh and both fit my styles and need fine.
