Hmm not that far off really....the sound is close, a few knobs on the mixer twirled and pouf...

Yep, sounds really close. Just add a HPF and some 'air' in post and I think you will be good.

I saw a video demo of someone using one of the mini rectos and he had the bass and mid knobs turned all the way down.

Playing death metal.

Ahh, wasn't a mini recto but a Mesa Mark V 25W:



Yes, The Haunted isn't *brutal* death metal, but they're heavy enough.

Yeah..there's actually a ton of bass in that single guitar track bit @ 1:06. That's a sweet sounding little head for sure..

Dankstar: I thought the riff sound was pretty close..just a bit "flatter" sounding than the original....playing was tight
