IMHO, The new American Stratocasters being made today, play and sound just as good as any Strat out there.:smoker:

Really?

I agree. It seems quite clear to me that Leo Fender would be rolling in his grave if he knew about this Mary Kaye/Ripoff Strat. I will no longer continue to promote, or recommened any Fender product. :wrf: :angryfire

Why the sudden change of heart?

;)

It was one of those days:smack: :laugh2: :smokin:

Must've been. :fingersx: :6:

What's nuts, I have 3 Strats, ok 3 1/2 (one body without a neck and some hardware) and I still want another one. :smack:

Go for it! You can never have to many Strats.:smokin:
I have seven Strats now with all different pickup combinations. The fun never ends.:beerchug:

Hopefully I can after I make the 1/2 completed. What I plan on doing eventually is making the Iron Maiden Strat stock again, which means moving the neck, Floyd and Hot Rails Neck and other hardware from the silver body back to the black body. Then I'll get another neck, Floyd and necessary hardware for the silver body.

After that, then MAYBE another Strat, rosewood board though. All of mine have maple and the planned new neck for the silver body would be maple too (to keep the maple/floyd setup that I love).

I've been eyeing the Deluxe Player's Strat in 3-tone sunburst w/ rosewood. It looks really sharp and I like the specs. The price is right too.

And since I now have that Maiden Strat, I'm looking at making my American Standard SSS again. I just need pickups for it. Looking at an APS-2 set, or Classic Stack Plus Set, or Hot Noiseless set. I'm hoping Santa brings me a set of Texas Specials. :fingersx:

Sounds like a plan,
My favorite S/S/S Combo is the APS-2 Neck/Middle, and the Twangbanger in the bridge.

That combo is an option too. Just not sure on the Twangbanger. I've heard it doesn't have enough "oomph". I'd really like a noiseless set but man, they ain't cheap.

Re: The Fender Stratocaster Club

Erik, give the Twangbanger a shot, If you do not like it, exchange it for another bridge pup.
Here is some Eye Candy.http://www.themusiczoo.com/fenderguitarsandbasses.htm

I probably will if I don't get any pickups for Christmas. My wife knows I love the Texas Specials but the price went up a few months ago so who knows. I do know she has something on layaway for me, I just don't know where.

Thanks for the eye candy. Some nice lookin' Strats there.

Re: The Fender Stratocaster Club

I'll spare you the pictures, but I'm once again a member :D

Isn't the whole point of this thread to show pictures? Unfortunately, the closest I am right now is resurrecting my Fernandes strat which I beat to hell as a result of being young and reckless.

You do not have to show pictures. This is mainly for players that use a Fender Statocaster as their main electric guitar.

Depends. I don't mind sharing pictures, but right now I don't have any other than the one everyone's been viewing on my profile.

Re: The Fender Stratocaster Club

Here's an updated picture of my silver pearl Dust US Strat. Theodie sent me an HS pickguard, so I installed a Custom/59 A5 hybrid (best strat humbucker) and a Chubtone 63 bridge in the neck. 1 Vol, and a 3 way switch only. VH to SRV at the flick of a switch!

That's the coolest strat in existance by far. It was already cool but going H/S sent it over the edge.

That must sound nuts through your bogner.

Re: The Fender Stratocaster Club

Sorry bout that. Was just in that mode where I wanted to see as many guitars as possible even at the potential risk to my personal finances. The holoflake and silver metallic ones have been haunting me for sure.
