Nice guitar. There's something so classy about a goldtop. I love'em...that's why my most played LP is a Goldtop w/nickel C-5/59 I'm back in strat mode right now, I think.

thats one fine looking axe scott! personally i'd be sold if it had humbuckers but the p90' are sweet as well.

I ended up putting soem new strings on it a while ago. I also wrapped the tail piece ike I did on my other one.
The guy had the tail piece screwed all the way down against the body, but the string angle up to the bridge was so steep all the strings were touching the back side of the tuneomatic bridge. Bends were a beatch and the tone showed.
It was either raise the TP or wraparound and wraparound is my favorite by far. I'm the third owner of this guitar. But it's a really nice piece and I really love the old brown Lifton case much better than the new black Historic cases.

Me too, Proxy-I just keep taking notes from everyone and I'll be the better educated purchaser when the time comes.

That is a sweet A$$ guitar Scott. You will have to let me know if you ever get the urge to sell it. LOL. did you put those pyramid strings on it? I think you will really like them if you try them.

hey this just occured to me, but thwta exactly is a lester? sounds like a short term for les paul? or is it a company like orville or edwards?
