The H90 Harmonizer Thread

Ok, so back from Europe and Covid, Im getting deep into the H90..

Basically incredible.

I think it is the only thing I will use between my Drive and stereo Reverb/Trem

One stop shop!

OK, 5 weeks under my belt - Pretty much the best pedal ever made IME. I mean, everything I could have ask them to improve on the incredible H9. they did.

Examples

* Screen and control way improved.

* Can run up to 4 algorithms at once (2 normally depending on HP), parallel or series

* Factory sounds/algorithms are stored permanently -your adjustments are stored in separate multiple User banks 0-99 in each

* Polyphonic Pitch shifting is improved.

* Separate modes for building sounds or performing to insure safe live interaction/functionality

* Physical TRS.Insert points for other pedals on the pedal backplane -so I can run H90 presets turning on and off external non midi old school pedals!!!

Good vid about the differences and features.

Great example of using the H90 as a MIDI controller to switch in and out other Pedal Chains/Loops into your H90 presets.

All the 4 in and 4 out are selectable between Line Level +4dBU and Instrument (Guitar) level

Ok H90 lovers, time to sell your H9 Maxes for cheap to your forum buddies!

Well, it seems certain that the multiple algorithm ability of the H90 is really simplifying my board and setup -Imma sell both H9s Maxes once I transition to the H90 in my rig (Jan 13th and 14th Im playing live with the H90). -One of them is in box never opened (it was procured as a back up)

Everyone who is serious about guitar should've jumped on the Eventide bandwagon like, 30-40 years ago.

It is its own thing/sound, it's been featured on countless major albums and tracks (and not just guitar) and they do it best.

So it is possible to go two algorithms and also toggle on/off the loop live?

One more and probably not my last question. Can you decide where the loop falls in the signal chain pre or post-algorithm?

You can. You can put it in front, or in between algorithms or after...

Also, and and all of the loops and algorithms can be run in parallel path or series.

The thing is incredible.

That's the thing, though. The very thing that had people flocking to the Strymon thing is why I avoided them. I don't want to sound like albums that have already been released.

Of course. Eventide has owned the professional market for decades and decades -basically a standard gear expectation in every studio Ive worked in....

I think what is significant is the power of Eventide in a pedal at this price point.

H90 is an incredible unit and it's user friendly AND not a rack unit of course.

With the H9 and H90 it is possible to dial up vintage tones; there are presets of some of the more iconic Eventide settings. However, the units are powerful and flexible enough to allow you to create your own soundscapes and get as creative as you would like. I think there are only two or three presets I use and I know I am not using them in the same way as the original artist.

One thing I forgot to mention -just like the H9 but I think a little more power -you still have the Kill/Dry option and cross fade power between changing presets/effects (like letting a reverb decay after a switch to a non reverb setting happens.

I seriously can appreciate them allowing that to happen.

One thing I didn’t like of the Meris Mercury 7 was that it had an amazing sound (two I guess) but that was it. Cool that this is flexible.
