Make no mistake it's an awesome guitar....and I wish I could keep it around to play when it struck my fancy....tone/playability is phenomenal, but jes pullin it out once in awhile would be a waste of a fine guitar IMO ..no matter what I always end up back to a Gibson of some sort it seems...the necks..the characteristic Gibson sound....the scale length..the TOM bridges...they just "fit" me better...When I got the Firebird I was like "uh-oh..this doesn't bode well for the McCarty" :laugh2:

that's a really good price on the buy it now....too bad I a) have more gear than I need, b) don't have that kind of money c) could never convince my girlfriend that I needed it

Jeff, I gotta Whale Blue 10 Top McCarty. It's awesome, but......I like my Pauls better

Heh..Whale Blue is my fave color too..or at least used to be...my first PRS was a 10 top Custom w/birds in whale blue.
I played a Whale Blue McCarty when I went lookin for this one..unfortunately it was the worst of the 5...talk about shrill...that thing was like an ice-pick. The 2 best sounding ones were the ones with the ugliest colors (for me anyways) :laugh2: Figures...

I wasn't even aware of that place! I spend nearly all my time blathering on about guitar stuff over here
Got a few people watchin it. I suspect it will be a "get hit hard at the last minute" type of thing. The reserve price is a REAL steal, but I ain't tellin how much, I'd like to get the BIN price :laugh2:

Thanks. I def think a prospective buyer needs as much Info as poss...especially on a 2K instrument that isn't chump change...
BTW..I would condsider a trade of equal value or trade w/ some cash...I'm looking for a R7 or R8....Les Paul Customs ...Firebirds of various types (with hardtail, no vibrola)....SG reissues (again hardtail)...V's, Explorers..ES 335....high end Gibsons...A REALLY good LP Standard or Deluxe (current model..not a maple neck) is also suttin I'm very interested in
