Re: The show your GUITAR thread.

That's a sweet looking axe, I don't like the rounded body Carvins, though :p

wouldnt have been my first pick either. But I got it used in mint cond for a good price. The picture doesnt really represent the purple tho.
It came with carvin zebra pups. I added chrome rings and truss cover and a Blues Sarceno in the bridge and pearly gates in the neck..
Sounds full and fat, and sustains great!

This is my cheapie Gould Tele with a Bareknuckle Piledriver in the bridge. I may be changing the scratchplate for no neck pickup slot (bridge pickup only) at a later date

This is my newest purchase, an early 90s Charvel Fusion Special. It's currently stock, but hoepfully it'll have either a Bareknuckle Cold Sweat or VHII in the bridge soon :)

Re: The show your GUITAR thread.

ya, that is a trussart. It is # 136. It sounds like a vintage tele, but with just a little more mid and bass to it. Contrary to what one would assume, it is not tinny, actually quite the opposite. It came stock with antiquities. I have to say it is one of my all time favorite guitars. I can play country blues, blues, rock, and some heaviers stuff with it. It is versatile, and has a very unique neck. It is Koa, with a FAT profile. reminds me of somewhere in between a vintage 50's tele and and 59LP.

That's cool. I've never had a chance to play one, or talk to anyone who has one. I've always loved the way they look.

Trussart uses all steel for his bodies right? Do you know anything about the metal?

I'm a nut for any kind of metal bodied or metal necked instrument. :D

Re: The show your GUITAR thread.

If you can get between 2 and 3 grand I know where one of the first LP style trussarts is. the one with the tom holmes pups.

Re: The show your GUITAR thread.

It is just regular steel for all i know. they age is and make it rust, then put some fixing agent on it. There is a block of wood under the bridge. It is a string through, and the strings go through the wood. I hightly recomend them.
