Re: The Single Most Overrated Guitar of All Time
EVERYBODY PLAY NICE!
Arguing about Fender and Gibson is like saying what's a better truck chevy or ford?
Who's a greater songwriter, Lennon or McCartney?
Fender Strats and Gibson LP's are both legendary instruments with resumes a mile long as to their contributions to the world of music.
Ford and Chevy both make fine trucks, they're just different.
And Lennon and McCartney were musical masterminds that were different, yet are legendary in their contributions to songwriting.
The common theme amongst all of these these examples is that one always thrived because the other existed and vice versa. Fender and Gibson are always competing to be the best. So is Chevy and Ford. And Lennon and McCartney were good on their own, but together they were great feeding off of each other.
And because of that, we have two great guitar makers, two great truck brands, and music to pass down to our grandchildren's grandchildren.
It's important to recognize the beauty and significance all around, even if it is not your cup of tea. Fender and Gibson diehards should be thanking the other for being in existence because you wouldn't have the great guitars that you do today if they weren't.
