Hey man, have you ever considered doing the Ice Road driving? I've been watching it on the TV over here and it's obviously dangerous but wow, what a challenge!

I have watched it. I havent really considered it but, IMO I dont think it would be too bad really. Seems like a few different things to watch out and look for with the ice but, thats bout it. Seems like 3/4 of the people they show on that program are F-ups and non drivers if you ask me. Its quite obvious they are not at the top of their profession by any means. If the money was right, I may consider it but, on that show they act like it is huge money but, I have heard a figure or 2 on that show and it didnt impress me. Plus, since the show has came on, I am sure many people have went up there to try it out. Less demand=less money.

I must admit that when they are driving across the ice and it's cracking seems quite scarey, but I have wondered how much the producers have tried to enhance the viewing and infact glamourize it. Some of the guys on there don't seem like the sharpest tools in the box. My dad was an HGV driver and his roadcraft was second to none, I doubt that he would have been too impressed by some of those guys either. All the best.

I dont really drink soda except a Diet now and again. I dont really eat ice cream either. Milk and Dew. You got to be kidding me.

Interesting Cargo, a few days after 9-11 I had a radioactive shipment on my rear trailer (I drove doubles at the time). The shipment originated from UVA's Nuclear Sciences department and it was going to Texas A&M. Word was, UVA had a reactor and the people around Charlottesville got wind of that and decided they didnt want it there anymore so, UVA closed it down. I was transporting something radioactive, what it was exactly, I dont know. It was a small 80 pound drum and the actual weight inside the drum was under 2 pounds. It was kind of weird a few days after 9-11 driving down the interstate with a big Radioactive placard on the back of your trailer.

I used to haul alot of this certain substance that was Hazmat class 4.3 (Dangerous when wet with a subsidiary class of 6.1 poison or was it 2.3 Poison gas?) Anyway, it was used to fumigate factorys and such and when it got wet, it created poison gas. Various Gov and military stuff, done that. I saw torpedo's on the dock one night.

Cylinders of poison gas was the norm, explosives, I've done that. Drums of Cyanide, used to haul and handle them on a regular basis. Actually, I handled about everything I would transport also. Needless to say, I have had lots of hazmat training and freight handing training.

I have even carried some standard shipments into very high security and even classified Gov. facilities. You would not believe how much is gov that is actually right in front of you everyday and you do not know. They look like standard buildings but, they arent. You will never know unless you have business to know.

I dont really have a favorite 70's band but, 80's here goes.

Guns and Rose,
Cinderella,
Jackyl

Those are my 3 favorites.

My favorite brand or type or, one that I own.

Well, I dont have a favorite either way. I own 2 axes as of right now, I like em both equally for different things. As far as brands, I like a bit of everything but, no clear favorite or shape.

I dunno. The milk would have to be skim but, the dew has too much caffeine in and sugar in it. HFCS actually :smack:. Is it really that good? Describe the taste. Who the hell is that in your avatar?

What's the funniest movie you've ever seen? Actualy, we can do this in two categories... 1) Best replay value for laughs 2) The movie that got the biggest reaction out of you seeing it for the first time.

Probably, Spaceballs and Kingpin.

I think the last thing theodie wants to eat is a Sugar coated creamsicle.

Maybe a Crowder covered creamsicle.

I make "chowdersicles" but, I dont eat em. :friday:

Ever seen the documentary movie Big Rig?
I saw it a while back because most of the soundtrack was done by Buck 65, one of my fav solo artists. Turned out to be a great documentary though, even though it was mostly just depressing to see all the crap you drivers have to deal with. (If you want to hear more Buck 65 let me know, I know just the song you need to hear)

Have you ever had an encounter with large Marge?

On to the typical list

If you could have one super power what would it be?

Who is your favorite character you actually know?

What is the most useful piece of knowledge you think you have gained while being on this forum?
