what's the most interesting cargo you have ever travelled with?
who are your favorite bands of the 70s? 80s?
I dont really drink soda except a Diet now and again. I dont really eat ice cream either. Milk and Dew. You got to be kidding me.
Interesting Cargo, a few days after 9-11 I had a radioactive shipment on my rear trailer (I drove doubles at the time). The shipment originated from UVA's Nuclear Sciences department and it was going to Texas A&M. Word was, UVA had a reactor and the people around Charlottesville got wind of that and decided they didnt want it there anymore so, UVA closed it down. I was transporting something radioactive, what it was exactly, I dont know. It was a small 80 pound drum and the actual weight inside the drum was under 2 pounds. It was kind of weird a few days after 9-11 driving down the interstate with a big Radioactive placard on the back of your trailer.
I used to haul alot of this certain substance that was Hazmat class 4.3 (Dangerous when wet with a subsidiary class of 6.1 poison or was it 2.3 Poison gas?) Anyway, it was used to fumigate factorys and such and when it got wet, it created poison gas. Various Gov and military stuff, done that. I saw torpedo's on the dock one night.
Cylinders of poison gas was the norm, explosives, I've done that. Drums of Cyanide, used to haul and handle them on a regular basis. Actually, I handled about everything I would transport also. Needless to say, I have had lots of hazmat training and freight handing training.
I have even carried some standard shipments into very high security and even classified Gov. facilities. You would not believe how much is gov that is actually right in front of you everyday and you do not know. They look like standard buildings but, they arent. You will never know unless you have business to know.
I dont really have a favorite 70's band but, 80's here goes.
Guns and Rose,
Cinderella,
Jackyl
Those are my 3 favorites.
