Re: THE WELL: For Real This Time...I'm an Open Book

These questions are just past the deadline, but I'll answer them anyway. I'll have to ask Jeremy to close the thread. :(

when was the last time you had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich (if ever)?

-Mike

I had a PB&J about a week ago. In fact, just this Sunday I had a Fluffernutter (peanut butter and Fluff). I've you've never had a Fluffernutter, and you like peanut butter, you may be missing out on a great thing.

Unfortunately, my eight-year-old son has never had a PB&J (or a Fluffernutter) in his entire life. He's allergic to nuts. :( I think it's sad for a kid never to have experienced the simple delight of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

What was the hardest lesson you had to "get" ?

Hmmm…the hardest life lesson? Well, the toughest experience of my life was going through an incredibly painful divorce. You don't go through things like that without learning something about yourself, the world, or both.

I learned that, even when things seem at their darkest, everything can turn around. I met someone absolutely amazing, we're married now, we've bought a house together, and we just had a baby girl. What I really learned is that I'm capable of getting through tough times and making things good again. Those wonderful things didn't just happen to me; I made them happen. That's a huge lesson I had to get on my own, because a bad situation was thrown upon me.
