Pick ONE: BB, Freddie, or Albert? -discuss why.
-I really dig BB and Freddy was cool as well but for my money Albert IS the KING of the blues! Albert just played with so much power but could be very soft as well...love those big wide overbends and stinging tone. Now, that said...in the old days BB was a heck of a singer...don't get me wrong, he's still a great singer but in the old days he used to really puch his voice and sounded great doing it! And while we're at it...Freddy might be THE man at up tempo instrumental blues!
Joe Jackson or Warren Zevon?
-Joe Jackson is cool and all but I gotta go with Warren Zevon.
Rice or noodles? -and can either be combined with french fries?
-Noodles are good but I'll go with rice and keep both away from my fires!
If you had to be whisked back in time and forced to star in an 80s television show, which would you choose?
-TV is bad now for the most part but it was real bad int he 80's...I guess I'd hang out on MTV in hopes of something cool.
If you could know the truth behind one mystery/conspiracy theory, what would it be?
Who killed JFK???
Guitar Player or Guitar World? Why?
I read both as well as Vintage Guitar...both GP and GW have good and bod months...IMO GP is "better" overall but I still think VG is better than GP.
What do you consider acceptable vegetables?
I like green beans, green peas, lima beans, corn, most of what you'd find in a good salad...there are others but these come to mind right now!
Brownface or blondeface?
Not sure about blondface...Blone Fender amps still had a brownface. I do prefer Brownface (Brown and Blond tolex) Fenders to Blackface Fenders for what I do
65 or /13?
I've met Peter and he's a heck of a nice guy and he and his guys makes a fine amp, I do like several of the 65 amps but they don't floor me...as for the Divided stuff I like almost everyone I've played through! They are pretty loud when you look at their rated wattage but if you can crank them they are killer. I think Fred has something great going with his amps I just think they are overpriced.
If tone is in the hands, how important are the knuckles?
It'd be pretty hard to play guitar w/o knuckles so I guess they are pretty important
If you could choose one piece of equipment to get freakishly devoted to (like, for example, some mac and bogner users do), what would it be?
Hmmm...While I do feel a bit of devotion to some builders/makers/companies out there for example I have Duncans in all but one of my guitars, Bruce Collins/Mission Amps does all my amp work and lately I'm really liking Analog.Man for effects stuff I try to keep my options open for gear...Im not sure I could get as "stuck" on one piece of gear like Mac heads do...
