Re: The Well Part: LV1......Will S-T

Favourite music/ artists from your younger, formative days?

Favourite music/ artists you enjoy today?

Any music/artists/styles that have stayed with you all along?

Band/artist you'd most like to play with (past and/or present)?

Hell yeah! We're ALL adopted here, even I'm Spanish.

But it does take some good Aussie sunshine and beer to refine that
raw Scottish talent. Jimmy Barnes from Cold Chisel and his brother Swannee,
both great pub rock singers are also from your way.

Add Coin Hay[MAW] to that.

Are you a soccer fan? Do you know who Tony Vidmar or Craig Moore are?

As far as modern bands go are you liking what your hearing coming out of Australia compared to the US and the UK?

In what order would you put the three major western countries (as in US, UK, AUS) for modern bands?

What are your top five australian bands? Any from Melbourne?z

Last and definately least have you ever been to Daylesford Victoria?

Guitar based music, Flamenco, classical, blues and rock. My early teens were
in the mid seventies, so Aussie bands like the Dingoes, Little River Band,
AC/DC, Chain, Rose Tattoo and OS stuff like Bachman Turner Overdrive,
Thin Lizzy, Floyd but most of all Santana. Flamenco and classical guys like Sabicas,
Carlos Montoya, Narciso Yepes, Julian Bream and John Williams.

These days I've gona a little bit country and getting into Gillian Welch
Junior Brown, The Waifs, Bonnie Raitt Johnny Cash and generally
trying to catch up on alot of older stuff like Merle and Waylon.

The stuff thats been constant is Flamenco, Santana, Floyd, SRV and Spanish classical guitar.

Paco de Lucia is the one guitarist I would most want to share an afternoon
of playing, talking and just being blokes. Band wise, I would loved to have
been the "Third" guitarist in Thin Lizzy, in between Gary Moore and Scott Gorham.:headbang:

Not really a fan but our Aussie boys have been making a name for themselves
in the Premier League for a number of years now and Soccer has really
grown in popularity here in Australia.

Honestly I don't really listen to alot of new stuff other than what plays
on RRR or PBS whilst I have the radio on in the car, so I can't really
answer your first two queations.

Top 5 Aussie bands: AC/DC, The Living End, Cold Chisel, Little River Band and
Scurvy Dog........Who is Scurvy Dog you ask? It's my old blues band.
Those of us that are still alive still get together and rock out once
or twice a year, hell a few of the boys should be in nursing homes!

I live about 45 minutes from Daylseford and my sister in law lives there.
Are you from up that way? The Palais in Hepburn Springs is a great venue!

Originally from Fremantle but have lived in Daylesford for 6 years and have played at the Palais several times as well as seeing a few good aussie bands like The Living End, Little Birdy, Yves Klein Blue and the Red Riders.

How are you holding up through the ongoing and almost omnipresent human drama we are suffering here in Victoria right now?

Well folks, it's time to pass this on. I've had a fun time and
look foward to all that follow.

I thought it would be nice to keep the "Well" downunder for another
round and have asked Crusty Philtrum to be the host and he's accepted.

Ok guys, thanks for the run.

Cheers, Will.:friday:
