I am a research scientist for a commercial company. The group i work in is focused on academic style research ie, not really trying to turn profit. We work a lot with a cytokine called interferon lambda and are trying to define its role and effect or on specific cell types.
Right now i have my bachelors in biochemistry from rutgers and im currently working on my phd.
im 24 now and ive been playing guitar seriously since i was 17.
i am not in a band, i sit in wiuth a few friends bands every now and again but i really dont have the time to hold down my own band.
i would say i play blues/rock more than anything else.
My gear...well im slowly moving towards having only guitars that i have built. Ive been selling off my other gear. Apart from the spalted maple tele and the red strat i posted here recently, i own a MIM strat with SSL1s and SSL5. I also own a thinline carlo robelli hollowbody which depsite being cheap, is an awesome guitar. Its got a A2pro neck and 59bridge. Amp wise, i do most of my home or out jamming playing on a blues junior that ive done a decent amount of mods to, including a new weber blue dog speaker. I also have a fender super reverb that is a great amp but doesnt get much use because i dont do a whole lot of serious playing. I like to have my amp set really clean and use my fairly large pedal set up for all my OD/dist.
