Re: The Well XVIII: What's that Lassie? XSSIVE's in the well?

If you were forced to live with an ape in your house, what species would you choose and why?... and humans are not an option.

If you finally could afford a Porsche GT3 RS, what color would you choose?

What is your most coveted guitar? Amp?

Most prized possession?

What is the coolest place you've ever been to and what made it so rad?

Favorite flavor of ice cream?

Re: The Well XVIII: What's that Lassie? XSSIVE's in the well?

live with an ape...ok i'm going to cheat here since i'd gladly live with a capuchin monkey. i've always wanted on of them. i know it's not an ape but it's close enough.

GT3 RS would be orange...although that crazy green is cool too.

most coveted guitar and amp. well, for guitars my custom shop flamed charvel is real important since i ordered it to my specs and waited well over a year for it. however i have a soft spot for my bullseye charvel too, i just love that thing so i'd have to flip a coin between them i think. although one cost drastically more than the other. as for amps, my '79 jmp and 4x12 cab is real important to me since my brother handed it down to me. however i much rather have my dual recto and splawn 4x12 for actual playing and tone.

most prized possession...my truck is pretty important to me, however it's not as important as some of my past cars were during the time i owned them so i don't it's that. it may very well be one of my guitars actually. everything else no matter how cool it is could easily be replaced but as we all know a good guitar is a good guitar and two that look the same may not play or sound the same so they become pretty important. my bullseye sits right near my bed and my flamed charvel in a fancy display case so again i think it would be one of those two. that's like picking which kid a father loves most so i can't do that hahaha.

coolest place...top of the mountain at killington VT -13 degrees and snowing and i have ice covering my goatee...not fun. j/k a bit literal i know. i've never been anywhere all that amazing that i remember (i went to Anguila with my entire family but i was like 2 at the time) it's usually the people i'm with or what i'm doing that makes things good and memorable. i've had great times at the race track or car shows in NJ with friends and just as much fun at Disney world and Virginia beach. i was the founder of a local car club a few years ago and half the fun was the big caravan of 15+ show cars driving to a show out of state. it's all about situation and people, not location. i've had more fun having big BBQs in my back yard or sitting around watching a movie than while on vacation at times. so it's never really about the place for me...at least it hasn't been yet.

favorite ice cream. i go through kicks where i'll like something simple like chocolate or vanilla with chocolate sprinkles...gotta have them. however my go to choice i think would bee good ol' rocky road.

Re: The Well XVIII: What's that Lassie? XSSIVE's in the well?

Oh ,so if somebody wants a 7 from you ,would you build it for him???Or 8 ,if the specs are allready there???..

Re: The Well XVIII: What's that Lassie? XSSIVE's in the well?

i can look into it if you're serious. i think a 7 is doable, not sure about an 8. PM me with what specs you had in mind.

Re: The Well XVIII: What's that Lassie? XSSIVE's in the well?

Now that you've mentioned your favorite guitar/amp that you own, if you could own any guitar and any amp, what would they be? And if your choices are based on money, what would your choices be that are based purely on tone/looks/lust-ability?

Some favorite dishes?

What is the grossest thing you've ever eaten?

Funniest thing you've ever witnessed in person?

If you could just automatically join any band tomorrow, what would it be?

If you were to start another band, what style of music would it be and what would the band be like?

If you started your dream band, what other bands would you go on tour with?

You win the super lotto tomorrow: What do you immediately do? How is your first $1-2 million spent?

Who do you think is the most bad ass person on earth? Why?

Re: The Well XVIII: What's that Lassie? XSSIVE's in the well?

ok, let's see here....

any amp...hands down Diezel Herbert with matching Diezel 4x12 V30 loaded cab. one day i'll get the head, but at over $4k i keep putting it off. guitar, i'd go for another custom shop Charvel strathead...may do that too one day. not sure on the paint but it would be an all maple neck (birdseye perhaps?), alder body with a non-recessed floyd and perhaps 2 hums since i already have a 1 hum one. Charvel and Charvel style guitars (hence my Clones)...22 fret super strats...just fit me well, thus why i have so many. if it ain't broke, don't fix it lol.

favorite dishes...i love Chicken francaise with some angel hair pasta mixed in the lemon sauce...man that's good! i could also eat pizza all the time, especially my new favorite pizza with bacon peppers and onions on it. baked ziti is pretty darn good too. can't go wrong with a good bowl of chili either. fettucini alfredo with grilled chicken and sun dried tomatoes is great too.

grossest food...i'm not overly adventurous with food to be honest. i'm not a seafood fan though aside from shrimp so lots of seafood can go in my personal gross category.

funny thing...nothing is coming to mind, i need to think this over more.

join a band tomorrow...i wouldn't do that to any bands i like lol, wouldn't want to be the guy that kills the band hahaha.

start another band...it would float somewhere in the metal genre. i can't be more specific since my style is just a mess of metal, blues-ish rock-ish metal stuff (aka blues with too much gain haha) and punk so when i write riffs they can be all across the board since i have no set style.

what bands would i tour with...hard to say since i believe touring bands should be similar in style and i have no idea what the outcome of my band would be, if it would be more punk more metal etc. like VH going on tour with Marley...wtf is that about lol. they should have gotten Ratt to open for them or some other 80s metal band then i wouldn't have skipped the opening act lol. so, something that fits i guess.

super lotto...Porsche GT3 RS, Pratt & Miller C6RS vette (info on that to drool over here... http://prattmillerc6rs.com/), Caddy CTS-V, 1969 Camaro SS with a modern supercharged and fuel injected LS7 engine and a 6sp, coil overs, bear brakes etc etc old looks, modern running gear i could go on lol. several guitars and amps and some crazy computers and home theater gear...oh and a house to put it all in lol.

most bad ass person in what way?? tough guy or just a real cool person?

We may need to write an album together. :laugh2:

Hey Mike

What is the most embarrasing or awkward moment you've ever had?

What is your favourite main course meal?

What is your favourite dessert?

What is the last guitar you'd ever want to play?

I love your taste in women. Who are your picks for the top five hottest celebrities?

Re: The Well XVIII: What's that Lassie? XSSIVE's in the well?

3's: most bad ass guy...i gave this some thought and all the guys that came to mind first are old guys now and not quite as bad ass lol. all the movie guys like arnold, stallone, chuck norris, van damme etc who played tough guys are all older now and not quite as bad ass. i also don't follow any sports or forms of fighting so i can't pick anyone from there. bad ass guitarists...well Zakk's a big mean lookin' dude but he seems like more bark than bite and just a nice guy, although still a bit bad ass. Petrucci is pretty darn big last i saw a pic of him, that's kinda bad ass lol. i don't know who my pick is. i think the obvious choice for musicians is Zakk even if he tries a bit too hard for that vibe.

chops: you win the sideburn contest lol. as for super strats, they're what i like. i like the feel of one with the body contours in all the right places for comfort, i like the look of them, and most of all the tone of a good ol' alder body maple neck super strat with a hum just works for me. most of my favorite guitarists are super strat players so it's just fitting that i like them i guess. i could do other Clone shapes, i just never got a customer order for one and never wanted to do it myself either. although now that i think of it, i have been talking about a floyded 1 hum mustang for years...pretty much a mustang super strat lol.

rainmaker: embarrasing moment...i need to give that more thought.

favorite main course...i think i have to go with Chicken francaise however this changes all the time as i go through phases or loving certain foods.

favorite dessert...bananas fosters over a warm brownie...man that's sooo good!

last guitar...no idea. i've played some real cool guitars since i hang out in a guitar shop all the time and am friends with a great Luthier. so i've played '59 bursts, '54 strats, 60's strats, etc etc all the crap everyone gets wet over and they're cool but they're just not me. i do love a good vintage strat...despite the horrible round fingerboard radius, tiny frets, and awkward knob location lol. however a real nice broken in charvel strathead from the 80s does much more for me as a player than that since they fit me better with a flatter radius, bigger frets and a hum in the bridge. i would love to get my hands on warren demartini's original crossed swords charvel or even better, jake e lee's white fender/charvel. either of those would be a guitar i'd love to play.

5 hottest celebs...well Marilyn is my obvious choice however i'll go with 5 living. my picks are girls that are a whole package not just ones that are fun to look at. in random order...

kate beckinsale
kristin bell
zooey deschanel
mandy moore
rose mcgowan
missy peregrym
summer glau
isla fischer
rachel bilson
linda cardellini
eliza dushku
rachael taylor
amy acker
lacey chabert
sarah lancaster
anna faris
megan fox
anne hathaway
erica durance
katie cassidy

ok, so i can't count to five, or i can't decide on five lol. they're like potato chips, once you start you just can't stop hahahaha

Re: The Well XVIII: What's that Lassie? XSSIVE's in the well?

would you take a picture of something out of order in your guitar room please? just put a phone in the middle of the table at a weird angle..or maybe a sofa cushion tossed randomely . Probably it would be too much to hhope for for a shot of an open doritos bag lying on the floor with some chips sccattered about on your rug? How bout a 1/2 spilled beer on the table with a few open dips? Pleeease??
I ask this in earnest. Youre pics are driving me nuts.Either A) Im anal and your oral..or
B) Im oral and your anal..
I can tell you one thing. we'd be the odd couple!!

Re: The Well XVIII: What's that Lassie? XSSIVE's in the well?

Time's up for my two standard questions:

Can you name one single artist or band that you think should be obligatory listening?

Can you elaborate on something you've experienced, that you think others can learn from as well?

Re: The Well XVIII: What's that Lassie? XSSIVE's in the well?

artist or band that should be obligatory listening...that's easy....Jake E Lee!! from the two albums with Ozzy which kick ass (and are my favorite) to his work with Badlands. Badlands is so overlooked and that's a sahem, they wrote some great songs. if any guitarist can listen to the song "whiskey dusk" and not think...**** that was cool...they need to quit playing guitar! the more i listen to Jake's playing the more he's become my favorite guitarist.

something others can learn from...hmmmm, well, there's no need to elaborate since it's simple. long distance relationships don't work, she'll cheat on you.
