Yeah, this past Summer he had an infection in the nail of his thumb that spread really fast and was resistant to the first round of antibiotics.
I don't think I've ever been as scared as those few days he was in the hospital.
He's doing great and made a full recovery. The nail came back as well!

Greatest moment? I don't think it's happened yet. We have a bunch of really upstanding folks here that everyday show how fantastic were all capable of being.
I think the worst was watching Rev Donzo blowout. As much as we were at odds I know the guy is just a huge wealth of information and I wish he could of gotten it together to participate and contribute.
....that or being able to hoist that fabled comment over BigAl's head about being glad I was gone when everyone thought I was booted.
I love the sheer volume of wealth on here. Even with things I'm not into I get to learn and hear new things.
I think what bothers me is seeing the same things over and over again regarding mindless drivel that just doesn't need to be explored. That and the mindless idolatry of artists whose contributions we all collectively "get."
"Selling" us on how great EVH is doesn't need to be done...were guitar players...we get it already!

For grilling it has to be Bison.
I consider digital amps to be my guilty pleasure for amps. Not entirely sure I have one for guitar, although my Ibanez likely is it.

Well, it actually was my boss' fault.
We had one of the first Apple X-RAID's. The hardware and the RAID almost rarely communicated correctly. My boss noticed one day that the "drive bad" light was on and went nuts over it.
When adressing it we realized that the drive was not bad and the entire RAID was working fine. Somehow in the process several other drives did not come up on a reboot, thusly nuking the entire RAID.
Had we left the unit alone, it would have been fine.
As a result we lost 9 months worth of backups from the entire facility.
We were never able to actually able to cover it up.

Years ago I had a conversation with the founder of Parker and it was such a negativ experience I would never consider buying one. He trashed everyone and approached it as a VERY entitled mindset.
I respect the Tech, but it's just tainted to me.
