I love Sweetwater as well, but their copy is regularly mangled... I contacted them once when they had described compressors totally incorrectly and sr editor did return my email to admit the goof...

The challange with marketing is words have search value and wow value as well as the actual meaning that have to be balanced.. and if the writter doesn't understand the product, they can generate lots of hits... even sales, based on high excitement words that have limitted or inaccurate meaning.

I actually did that for a guitar listing. I told my “sales engineer”. He apologized profusely said he was going to tell the web guys and the description is still bad.

Well, my push-push pots came in, and I'm a little disappointed. They don't work the way I assumed they would. I thought the knob would return to a uniform position after each click. But they rest up or down. The "up" position is as high as a push-pull in the raised position, as another forum member eluded to. I'll try them in something anyway, just not what I expected.

There's no markings on them at all, and even the website doesn't mention the manufacturer. They look like Alpha pots.
Part # on the invoice is CPPU500A.

I'll have to look at some of mine, they still get a little taller in the "up" position, but it not's as much as a push/pull, as you are describing.

Looks like the extra height is just clearance so you can push.

Doesn't look like Alpha. None I've seen has had thread like that. What's the push pull in the pic?
