I don't see how trying different amps would warrant a V1 change.

Well JB's seem too bright for me or something don't know how to say [...] like the sound I'd get if I'd play really close to the bridge on the classical guitar instead of somewhere in the middle.
it is really weird I'm looking at demos for the JB and it actually sounds nice [...] Really don't know where I'm going wrong with this just want a more warmer sound but at the same time gainy nice distortion for solos.
I can understand trying different tubes in the same amp, yes; but you need to keep all other variables constant. I've yet to witness a change in the brand of 12AX7A tube make anywhere near the amount of difference as a change in speaker. Stripping away other variables that can and will influence your perception of different brands/grades/prices of tubes should also be in place. It's anathema around these waters, but this includes the necessity for proper double-blind protocol. All too often people rave about tube changes without providing a shred of evidence as to how they came about discovering these changes. Even sample clips could be useful, yet they seem impossible to come by.This way he would have some idea of how different preamp valves can affect his sound.
I used a blackstar dual ht and its stock valve gave a much shriller sound under high gain than the valve I replaced it with.
A simple cheapish purchase of a few different reputable pre amp valves would give a selection of different tonal textures ......... just as much as changing between pickups can give different tonal textures or indeed, changing the speaker as others have suggested

You didn't say what guitar you have besides ESP. If you have separate volume and tone controls for neck pickup then you'll be able to change the pots associated with just the bridge pickup without affecting the tone of the neck pickup. Otherwise, you can put a resistor in parallel with the bridge pickup.Dear gregory thanks for the replies. I'll check if I have 500k, if I do I'll definitely switch to 250k. As for the speaker I don't know where to find the the top ones just so I don't buy total crap? Already checked the video you sent and the guy called
Gilmour D. I'm really digging the G12 H and also the WGS Invader 50 but are there any other options and what are the differences between these two? As for the sound I hear it but mainly what I can play with them? Man so happy you guys saved me awesome thanks to EVERYONE!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEeY8XbBkFcEDIT: from my previous reply I also dig the Greenback even more... but as I said any other options?
The pickup may not be your problem. You play through a DSL40C, does it still have the stock 70/80 speaker? If so, change the speaker to a Creamback or V30, pretty much anything other than the 70/80. If it is still too bright, look up the C19 mod which removes the bright cap.
Dude if you want to swap speakers, just save up and get the creamback.
Thank me later.
