Three Peavey 30W amps, mmmmmmm . . .

Gentlemen, help me out here for a minute, will ya ?


What would you rather gig with ?


* THREE 100% stock Peavey Classic 30's


. . . or . . .


* One Classic 30, one Delta Blues 2x10 & one Delta Blues 1x15 ???


Could not sleep last night, so my mind started to wonder !

Will the Classic 30 (1x12), DB (2x10) & DB (1x15) not give you a better/wider, "sound spectrum", than just three 30watt Classic 30's ?


. . . something like this:

Classic 30 (1x12) EQ'd for more mids
Delta Blues (2x10) EQ'd for more treb
Delta Blues (1x15) EQ'd for more bass


It just seems to me (on paper, any ways) that this set-up will sound much better than just three stock Classic 30's ! (?)

Any thoughts on this ?

either way, 3 amps would be kool. If it was me, i think i would rather have the 3 different ones.

I think it would be a safe bet if you could try them out.. Not possible here where I live but...

anyways, my whole take is that if they dont sound right together, you might just turn 1 or even 2 of them off. 3 Classic 30's will just re-inforce each other for bigger sound...but thinking in that direction...wouldn't it be easier and maybe cheaper to get a peavey classic head with a 4x12??

It could be great to have all 3, but then there is that whole risk factor.

i have the C50 Head and the C30 combo... I could gig with one C30 head and a cab no probs, plus one set up for back ups... nevermind 3

I'm not intending on buying all three amps, i was just wondering "IF" one was to do it would it sound GREAT, or just like three 30W Peaveys ?

IOW - would there be a btter sonic range with the diff. three, as aposed to the stock C30's ?

The delta blues 15" has a lot of treble response. I would not equalize it for bass only.

only one way to find out... would be neat to try.... I will say the sonic difference with my C30 with the Extention cab used is a different beast.... a better one.... Makes me wonder what all 3 of those amps would sound like together with all the different speaker types at once..

PS... it would be a loud experiment.. i only like my C30 when the volume is turned above 3.... so 3 of those amps above 3 would be loud
