Time for another Show Your Pedal Board thread!

Re: Time for another Show Your Pedal Board thread!

tonight ill be using a board (like just a board) with my analog man red dot sunface->timmy->jetter red shift (shifted so its more purple)->deja vu->deluxe reverb with my hamer Daytona with aps2/aps2/custom shop 6.6k/9.6k alnico 2 bridge. itll rock and be fun :D

Re: Time for another Show Your Pedal Board thread!

Since this pic was taken, I've replaced the Wet reverb with an Earthquaker Devices Dispatch Master

Surprised that you swapped out your Wet. What can the DDM provide that the Wet can't? I am not familiar with the latter one.

I'm ready to build a new one. I picked up a TC Electronics G Major system and have it rack-mounted. I need a MIDI controller for it and I'm leaning towards the Decibel 11 Switch Dr since it has loop switcher capability also. Also picked up a Boss RT-20 which I'm now using instead of the Earthquaker Devices Grand Orbiter phase shifter.

Re: Time for another Show Your Pedal Board thread!

Mine. WOBO controlled.

PP2+ under the board powering everything except the Reverbulator (24v). The OCD pedals and MXR flanger are set to 18v, the Analogman Bi-Chorus and Behringer mini mixer are set to 12v, all other pedals are at 9v. Board measures 36x18.

Each of the effects (except the Bad Horsie II, Decimator G-string & tuner) are in there own loops which are "preset" assignable in any combination and/or can be made to be an add-on to an already activated preset. Both of the OCD's are in the same loop, one just feeds into the other. All "looped" effects pedals stay on all the time. All loops are true bypass when not engaged. The switching unit also handles the amp channel switching and amp loop function as needed (loop stays on all the time though). So basically it's "one button" activation for each of my main sounds. The bottom row and one of the upper row buttons are my main sounds. The other top row buttons are my "add-ons" as needed. Stepping on one of the main preset drops the activated add-ons, really simple for stage use. Basically there is the "A" group of loops (7 loops) for the effects before the amp and the "B" group of loops (3 loops) for effects in the amp's effects loop. One thing that I had added to the switching unit was a common return for the "B" group loops. The Babyface Trem and both MXR Carbon Copy's are the "B' group. What this allowed me to do was feed both of the Carbon Copy's outputs to the mini mixer which then feeds the "common return". That way when I switch between presets that change which delay pedal (main or long/solo) is active, the previous delay's input is shut off, but the effect's output does not get cut off and naturally decays away. The mini mixer also allows me to set my solo level a little higher for a solo boost that follows the presets.

There's so much I could keep talking about with this board, but it would get very long winded. So if anybody has any questions about the routing of the effects, or what any particular effect is used for, etc., just ask. It looks complicated, but it's really simple. Power plug on the side is just a male 3-prong. So any 3-prong extension cord works as the power cord.

My pedal board.

I don't put my metal zone and my Blackstar Ht Dist-X together because metal zone ruins the sound of my blackstar.
any recommendations on the connection of my pedal board?

Cry Baby Classic into TC polytune, vintage '81 TS-808 tubescreamer, AnalogMan Prince of Tone, Bob Burt AH-1 Distortion, Strymon Mobius, TC Electronic Nova delay, Xotix EP booster; all in front of a Mesa TA-30 combo. DSC00135.jpg

The Dispatch Master has both delay and verb, independently controllable. The verb side is similar in character to the WET, although not quite as rich. The combination is beautifully done and mixed together in one pedal, makes for a great one stomp shift into an alternate space.

I just spent some time reordering my pedal board and getting it all put back together. I think this may be my keeper order.

Re: Time for another Show Your Pedal Board thread!

Update - my board is finally full! It's been a long process to get to this point. Everything here has been extensively researched and tested to make sure they were keepers. I MIIIGHT change the Timmy for an EP booster, or maybe an RC booster or something else... but that's a maybe. I'm really really happy with this board.

Re: Time for another Show Your Pedal Board thread!

Here's my latest.

Those of you familiar with my previous boards will notice this is my first with actual patch cords. Also, this one has an isolated, non-DIY power supply inside; specifically, a PedalPower 2+. Signal chain is Pitchblack, Rat clone, 74 RI Script Phase 90, SD-1, CE-2, BF-2, DD-3, BYOC Tremolo.

Re: Time for another Show Your Pedal Board thread!

Haven't posted my board in ages, just had an update today (polytune 2 noir) so I took a new pic.

G30 wireless > Digitech Drop > MXR Bass Octave > Custom wah (by me) > Polytune 2 noir > Bad Wolf overdrive (by me) > EVH Phase 90 > Boss BF2 Flanger > A/B/Y (not shown since it's not always used) > EVH 50w and a stock '79 Marshall JMP.

The Peak midi controller does the channel switching on the EVH head and controls the G-Major 2 which is in the EVHs FX loop.

and the bottom just because...

Signal chain:

Fulltone Clyde Deluxe -> Drybell Vibe Machine -> Trombetta Bone Machine GTx -> Analogman Ge Sunface -> Basic Audio Scarab Deluxe -> Basic Audio Tri/Ram Muff -> Weehbo JMP Drive -> Xotic EP Booster -> Dunlop Volume -> Strymon Mobius -> Strymon Timeline -> Eventide H9. The big and small orange pedals are a Disaster Area MIDI controller and expander switch, and they control the Strymons and the H9. With the MIDI controller I can set patches across three devices. Super awesome.

My board has been the same for a few months now. I wouldn't have the desire to change anything if I hadn't compared my Egnater's plexi channel to the JMP drive through my bassman. The JMP is way flat in comparison, so I'm going to check out the Bogner red and blue pedals. If neither of those tickles my fancy, I'll probably pick up a Catalinbread DLS III and call it a day.

Re: Time for another Show Your Pedal Board thread!

I've been thinking about a Bogner red to use into my '79 JMP with the amp set just a bit broken up so I'd essentially have 3 channels with it, clean-ish amp, Red and Red with boost.

Re: Time for another Show Your Pedal Board thread!

Ditched the CAE wah and the Mooer. Here's what I have for now. Looking for something new to replace the Half Gainer. Anyone tried the Greer Lightspeed yet?
