I was really bored today, so in the spirit of experimentation, I decided to try the stock neck pickup from my Agile AL-2500 in my Jackson.
I'm still trying to figure out why it sounds as good as it does. :laugh2:
I suck at improv, but you get the idea.
It's 7.6k, with a ceramic magnet. I was expecting it to sound like the descriptions I've heard of the Jazz (bright and defined) but instead it ended up being very smooth. I love it. :chairfall
Also, changing strings on a Floyd is a pain in the arse when you have no idea what you're doing. :laugh2:
