I bought a Classic 30 last week and loved it for the first couple of days. Then it started having a low static noise whenever I turned it on. I'm taking it back into the shop to see if it's the amp, or if my house's wiring is messed up. But the thing is now I am having second thoughts about my purchase.
The Blues Junior is the only other tube amp in my price range that I would consider, but I don't really know much about it (yes I read Lews thread).
So my questions regarding both amps are...
1. I emailed Eurotubes and he told me what tubes would be best for my desired tone, and that it would cost $55 to get them. But since I just got the amp I'm hesitant in spending another 55 real fast on it, do new tubes really improve it that much?
2. Is the blues junior as versatile as the Classic 30? Can I play jazz, blues, rock and funk on it?
Thanks, and feel free to make any other comparisons on the amps that might help me out.
